Can employer make me work my weekend off when I’m obligated at my shop which I run on my weekends off?

I have a another job a shop I run every other weekend due to my other job I am required to work every other weekend. However they scheduled me to work Sunday Christmas Eve and it’s my scheduled weekend off. New Link Destination
make extra money I run my shop and I will be losing money by not running it on Christmas Eve. I verbally told her about my shop and have asked if I could possibly work during the week instead of weekends. She said that she couldn’t do that cause it wouldn’t be fair to others. So instead we are required to work every other weekend. However, I was told I had to work Sunday Christmas Eve because it’s still considered a holiday but we don’t get holiday pay for Christmas Eve. Off on Christmas Eve. What can I do since I don’t have anyone to ask to cover my shift. We have staff that are PRN but when ask they say no and it seems worthless. I feel this is unfair.

Unless this action violates the terms of a union agreement or employment contract, you have no claim here. The fact is that most work relationships are "at will". This means that a company can set the conditions of employment much as it sees fit (absent some form of legally actionable discrimination). This inlcudes who has off and when. If this is unacceptable to you, you can either refuse to work Christmas Eve but risk termination or you can quit.
