Changed circumstances such as a change in income are grounds for a modification of spousal support.
You will need to file an Order to Show Cause to request a hearing . Call the court clerk to schedule the hearing. Include the date, time and department of the hearing on the Order to Show Cause. File the Order to Show Cause with the court and your income and expense declaration signed under penalty of perjury and any additional supporting evidence of your request for modification of spousal support. Also file a proof of service (court form). Mail a copy of your court-filed documents to your ex to provide your ex with notice of the hearing. The proof of service verifies the date of mailing. You can file your documents with the court without an attorney.
