Can a woman take the right away her husband’s right as a father because of an argument and refuse to put his name on the birth certificate?

Also, is it legal for the woman to deprive the husband’s family of the baby as well?

Under the laws of all states in this country it is the mother who gets to designate who the father of the newborn child is on the child's birth certificate. The reason is that it is the mother who has the most knowledge as to who the father is.

The mother can also refuse to allow the father's family to have vistitation with the new born.
