Can an unmarried couple jointly sue a landlord for failure to return their security deposit?
Both names are listed on the lease. Do they both file seperate suits? And do you file against the landlord and spose or just the main person you’ve delt with? The landlord has no grounds to hold the money and did not put the deposit in a proper account. They also never returned the interest that the deposit was supposed to make.

You can file one suit and name whoever the landlord is. You would list each of you as plaintiffs and all landlords as defendants.
