Can a person start a new job while he has an open claim with worker’s comp from a previous job?
My brother was fired while still suffering from an on the job injury he is not receiving any money or treatment not from unemployment or WC. However, he is waiting for a hearing on the injury. Is it okay if he finds another job or will they hold that against him?

It is certainly in your brother's best interests to seek work since he is unemployed and if he gets employment pending the final decision with respect to his worker's compensation claim such would not be held against him.
Thje caveat is that he should keep all people involved with respect to his worker's compensation claim advised if he gets employment.
