Unless the presumed written lease agreement that you have with your landlord states restrictions on how often one can stay at the rental that you have and has background check information requests, the landlord can ask tell you what to do regarding the issues you have written about, but contractually and legally he or she cannot force the issue further with you if you do not want to agree to the demands.

As such, you make the decision on what you want to do regarding the landlord's demands with respect to you.
