Under the laws of all states in this country, if a landlord wishes to evict a tenant for any reason while the lease is still in place with the exception of a month-to-month lease, the landlord bears the burden of proving a breach of the agreement by the tenant.
So too in your matter. The landlord has to prove that as his or her basis of evicting you from the rental that you seemingly violated the terms of the lease in a material manner by possessing a firearm on the premises.
