Can a criminal/deportation process by a third party harm my green card process?

I’m in the middle of a process to obtain the Green Card Permanent Resident

through my spouse wife but something has occurred to us. A friend of ours reached my wife asking for her help, his son got arrested trying to enter the U.S. illegally trough the Texas-Mexico border, and now he needs someone to provide a document showing support, that in case he gets released he could be staying with her my wife as she is an american citizen. Quite similar to an affidavit of support. The document in question requires my wife’s passport, S.S.N., I.D., address confirmation and such. Could this document, in any given form harm my process to

obtain the green card?

No, that should not affect your ability to get a green card through your wife in any way.  Assuming her income is sufficient to sponsor both you and this son of the friend, then you will not have any issues.
