A person may only refuse to pay for work he or she agreed to pay for if the work did not meet commercial standards (i.e. would not be considered commerically acceptable) and/or did not comply with the terms of the contract, proposal, or purchase order. If the work did comply with what the customer wanted and also met commerical standards for work of this kind, the client should have to pay and could be sued if he/she does not.
