Can a bank kick us out without giving an evection notice?

We live in an apartment building and the landlord lost the building to the bank. It has been foreclosed on and we have not received an eviction notice. Someone from the bank told us that they can and will charge us with trespassing. If we don’t get out when they tell us to. We have not been giving a date or any kind of notice. Do they have to give us a written notice or can it be just a verbal one?

Typically, your landlord is responsible for providing you notice of the foreclosure. Your rental agreement is between you and the landlord/leasing agency, not the bank, thus any notice of eviction must be provided by the leasing agency/landlord, not necessarily the bank. However, the Bank can seek the local sheriff to provide an eviction of the tenants by the court if necessary.
