If my son got into an accident with a permit, what do I do?
Aside from reporting it to our insurance am I supposed to notify the DMV? Can someone please help and give as many details of what to expect as possible?

If his permit is in jeopardy DMV will be notified by the authorities. Now, if you were insured and reported it to your insurance company then you have done the proper thing. The insurance company will investigate the claim and offer a defense in the matter should it get to a lawsuit. Was he issued a ticket? It may be a good idea to hire a lawyer to go with him. His license may be delayed and he may have to pay a fine depending on what the charge is. Good luck.
