Is a bench warrant that was issued in one state enforceable in another?

I heard that if you have a bench warrant it is state specific. In other words, if you live in another state the authorities can’t arrest you.

Yes and no. I say this because if you have a bench warrant in Michigan, but you live in Ohio, then the Ohio courts have no jurisdiction over the warrant. However local law enforcement in Ohio have the authority to arrest you in Ohio and extradite you back to Michigan if need be.
