atv accident involving minor son

My minor son was drivng his 4 wheeler the first day he received it without my knowledge and he hit a car. Am I responsible for the damage to the vehicle. The insurance company paid the person but now the insurance company is trying to get me to repay them. Do I have to repay the insurance company?

I'm not a Louisiana attorney, and I don't have your insurance policy in front of me, but I wouldn't be surprised at all to see off-road vehicles as a specific exclusion, as I know that this is sometimes true elsewhere.  For reliable advice, you need to give the policy, and all the facts, to a lawyer in your area.  One place to look for an attorney is our website, http://attorneypages.com

You may be able to buy separate coverage for the atv, and it sounds like something worth looking into.
