As a permanent citizen with a green card, will my probation affect whether or not I can travel out of the country?

I have a passport for my country which I am travelling to in a week. Will my informal probation affect me from travelling? I also have my green card and have been a permanent citizen for a number of years.

If you are on probation concerning a conviction of a crime, you need to carefully read the terms and conditions of your probation and contact your probation officer about the trip you intent to go on next week. Most likely the informal probation will not prohibit you from doing your travels.

If you are an American citizen the probation should not have an effect upon your re-entry into this country. However, I am unsure why you would need a green card if you are a permanent citizen of the United States. American citizens do not need green cards to remain in this country.
