Are landlords responsibe for damage to personal property caused by mice?
My car recently had $800 worth of damage which I found out was caused my mice in the garage that chewed on the wires in my car.

Unless your landlord has been put on notice of a rodent problem by his or her tenant, the landlord ordinarily is not liable for any rodent damages like you have written about concerning your vehicle.
I suggest that if you have auto insurance that you consider making a claim for the damage you are writing about under your policy.
