Am I eligible for unemployment due to spousal relocation?

My fiance is being relocated to Iowa for his job. We currently live in NC and I will be quitting my job to go with him. Am I eligible for unemployment until I find a job in IA?

Generally, if you voluntarily quit a job, you are not eligible for unemployment compensation.  It would be advisable to file for unemployment.  If it is denied, you can still pursue the appeals process until all appeals have been exhausted.
