After work mans comp.can they lay you off.For what another coworker had said.

I was working in the kitchen at work .I bent down to shut the water off &slipped &fell on my wrist had to do some therapy.About 2mo.later my doc.said it would be alright to go back to work.Well when i got to work 1 of the girls went &told the boss that my wrist was still bruised &swollen.She did not even ask to look at it. I was told to go home &to make an appt.with my doc.Then when I get ready to go back to work they have already hired someone else in my place.

Employment in Missouri is "at-will". This means that either you or the employer can end the relationship without cause.  That being said, there are certain exceptions to that rule, as well.  Do you have your handbook? Employee manual? There will be information in there.
