The officer can arrest you any time within the statute of limitations--- which is three years. However, this officer isn't just making a decision... he's also asking you to snitch. This can be dangerous for you. Before you deside to turn on someone else when you are faced with certain charges, consider consulting wiht a criminal attorney.
