What to do if a cop came to my door accusing me of forging a check and cashing it but I didn’t do either?
He said he was going to go get the camera footage from the bank and he was going to get some of my handwriting to compare to the check.

You have been accused by police with a crime and you need the immediate help of a highly skilled criminal defense lawyer to protect you. It is obvious that the police have decided you committed this crime and are now looking for evidence - not to solve the crime - but to prove you are guilty.
You should seek immediate representation from a criminal lawyer who can aggressively defend you. In some cases, if retained early enough, your lawyer can prevent police from obtaining an arrest warrant for you by gathering evidence that proves you did not commit the crime. Your attorney can also try to make sure that if you are arrested, its not in public at your job or somewhere embarrasing and that a bond can be set for your immediate release.
Call an law firm such as ours to get a free consultation immediately if you wish to avoid jail.
