You might have recourse, under a theory of tortious interference with economic advantage (the tort, or wrong, of negligently causing someone to lose some economic advantage, like work; the exact name and precisely how it's defined may vary by state) IF you suffer repurcussions because of it--e.g. if you are fired. If you are fortunate enough to not suffer any negative consequences, then you have nothing to sue for; the legal system compensates for actual, not theoretical damages. So if you do suffer negative job consequences, it would be worthwhile to consult with an employment attorney who can help you evaluate the strength and potential economic worth of your case, as well as the cost to pursue a legal remedy.
