How can i determine if i need a lawyer to handle Detrimental reliance with chubb home insurance in nyc. How can i find one. I relied on adjuster to handle home claim after hvac leak ruined a large area of maple wood floor. He determined/ approved partial replacement , (which despite my concern for the efficacy of this i agreed too. The result was further damage to entire floor. over next 6 months as it began splitting, buckling, & lifting; revealing, concrete, bugs and mold. Though adjuster claimed Chubb wasnt responsible for poor workmanship, He finally agreed to visit home when another separate issue emerged. This is a situation where I would advise you to contact a lawyer to unravel what was done due to failure on the insurance companies part to make adequate repairs and what they are saying are workmanship issues.  Take plenty of pictures of your floee.  Especially as times goes on an the floor gets worst.
