Insurance Question from Horsham, PA

Asked on 08/02/2012

Do any companies cover Tramplines? NULL

Answer given on August 05, 2012

There are many insurance companies who still do not include liability coverage for trampolines. New technology for trampolines makes them much safer, but insurance companies change slowly. In the 1960s many children were injured while jumping on trampolines many breaking arms, legs and even their necks. Insurance companies paid out many claims for homeowners due to the injuries to neighbor children. If you have a newer trampoline you should be able to find an insurance company that will include liability protection for you. Contact an insurance agent and check out the exclusions on the policy. You can always see the contract before purchasing the policy. Also, unless there is a question on the application about trampolines you do not need to tell the company that you have a trampoline. However, if you have had a claim in the past that involved a trampoline then you may find it difficult to find an insurance company willing to provide coverage for the trampoline.
