Each state has different rules for handling claims, including the time it takes for an adjuster to come out.  However, this is a very serious sounding claim, and the adjuster needs to change his schedule to help you.

You need to call your agent and the claims office for the company.  Ask for a supervisor in the claims department and explain your dilemma.  Your agent should also be able to help contact the claims department about their failure to respond.  In addition, your agent may be authorized to issue a check, on behalf of the company, to provide immediate assistance in getting your business back up and running.

A final option is to contact the Dept of Insurance for your state.  They can contact the company and demand that something be done immediately.  They can also advise you as to the requirements of the insurance company in handling your claim.
