If your landlord is not abiding by your request for the elimination of the bed bugs via non-toxic chemicals as to humans, you need to call him or her to discuss the subject and follow up with a written letter confirming the conversation. Keep a copy of the letter for future need and reference.

If the landlord persists in ignoring your request, then contact your local health department and make a complaint against the landlord over the use of toxic chemicals to humans in your rental after being requested to not do so.
