If I had a house thatcaught fire and the Court charged me with demolition costs, is there a way to fight it?
I believe that it was set on fire but can’t prove it since already was demolished.

If you were assessed charges of demolition of your former house due to the fact that it was dangerous, beyond repair and most likely was a nuisance, you can challenge the costs for the demolition by refusing to pay the bill or seeking an administrative hearing with either your board of supervisors if the property is not in city limits or the town/city council if it is, contesting the costs.
Assuming you had insurance for the house, I would also place your insurance carrier on notice concerning the demolition costs that you have been assessed for the home's demolition.
