My friend is being released from prison in about 2 weeks and they want to put him on a home visual/brathalyzer. He served his time for his 5th OWI.

Is there any way around this and does this mean he can’t go anywhere like t see his family on an overnight basis?

Yup they did well by putting him on home visual/breathalyzer.  It is his 5th time. Obviously he doesn't learn and he could wind up killing someone.  I am surprised they even let him out. Probably he is home bound.  Is he on PAROLE or PROBATION?

Either way, he needs to contact the Dept of Corrections and find out.
