Hold on Check

I’m a truck driver. My company has
put a hold on my check twice.
Because I didn’t come back from
home time fast enough. They say
it’s just incase I quit and they
have to come get my truck. Never
fired and always call when I need
more time. Let them always know
when I’m coming back. There based
in Tn, I also live in TN.

Legally, they can't do this, and if they do, you could file a complaint with your state department of labor (if you are an employee, not an independent contractor) and/or sue (e.g in small claims court) for any unpaid money. Practically, if the hold is short and you get the money when you do come back, it might not be worth taking legal action about.
