Yes you can. If an employee is fired for certain reasons, it can constitute wrongful termination. For example, did your firing contstitute the breach of an express promise (as in an employment or union agreement) or an implied promise made by your employer? Did it constitute retaliation (i.e. whisle blowing) or breach of public policy (terminating an employee for missing work due to jury duty)? Or did it constitute actionable discrimination (discharge due to race, religion, age, disability, gender, sexual identity).
