I never received notification, and the bank also did not get notification of the cancellation. The insure will not cover the damages. What are my options? Do I have any legal recourse if the lein holder was not notified?

Given the circumstances that you have written about, you should consult with an attorney in your community that practices insurance law for legal guidance. Such can be found by looking into attorneypages.com and its website of affiliated insurance attorneys in your locality.
