Can a person be the sole member of a non-profit organization?

When incorporating put down the organization will vest it management affairs to the members of the company instead of the board of directors. I know that there to be a president, secretary, and 3 director minimum but this is if the organization will be runned by the directors.

Under the federal tax laws of this country per regulations created by the Internal Revenue Service, if a corporation of limited liability meets the requirements to be a tax exempt organization (non-profit) then one person can wear all the hats of the entity as president and secretary with one director.
