As my lease is over middle of month but I have to pay until the end but they rented the place that starts the middle of the month and they are paying 1/2 month rent.

The landlord cannot charge double rent. If your lease ended in the middle of the month, you only owe rent until the middle of the month.
Even if you didn't give the required notice to terminate your tenancy, your obligation to pay rent would end when the place is re-rented.
