Can a partial release be granted on a legal financial obligation lien with the cooperation of the state and not the plaintiff?
I am currently in the process of purchasing a home. Unfortunately my legal financial obligation is coming up as a lien. The title company will continue with the sale if I can provide them with a partial release. My issue is that my legal financial obligation is the result of an assault. Initially the title company asked for the state to sign the partial release, but now they are requiring that the plaintiff signs the release. There is likely little chance of that happening. Is there any way around requiring the participation of the individual involved in the assault?

I think that you need an attorney here to help you with the matter as soon as you can. Do you mean that you are paying restitution? And that the title compnay wishes you to get a partial release for the amount already paid? I am not sure that will be possible. And aren't you paying it in to court rather than the plaintiff directly? I would see about getting a statement of account (certified) by the court as to the amount paid thus far and the amount left.
